Veteran teacher Julie Partain has helped generations of students understand math

Over the course of her teaching career, Partain has taught a variety of math-related subjects, including pre-algebra, math for college readiness, geometry, and algebra two.

Many people have a hard time figuring out what they want to be when they grow up. For Partain, however,  the decision was simple and easy.

“I became a teacher because I love math. My mom and grandmother were both teachers, so it runs in the family,” said Partain.

Through the years, the classes change and new students come and go. Each and every student has different needs to be successful in a classroom.

“She is caring, tries to get you to understand the math work, and is up-beat,” said junior Nicole Pages.

Partain’s unique and effective teaching style has guided her many classes of students to academic success.

“She is very eccentric and easily gets our attention to learn,” senior Kaysa Lesser said.

Partain has enjoyed her time at LHS so far and has been an asset to many students and the school as a whole.

”The school has been so good and the time has flown by so fast,” said Partain.
