Apr. 12, 2013,  there will be a Relay For Life Pageant. It will all take place at the Lecanto High School [LHS] football field from 7-9 p.m. There is a $20 registration fee, and all the proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society. The deadline to register for the event is Mar. 4, 2013.

The main category for the participants to perform in will be for beauty. They will also be competing for additional categories for best smile, best attire, prettiest eyes, and best theme wear.

“Trophies will be awarded for each category in each age group,” said Herndon.

There will be a queen and princess for each age group as well as a king and prince. Participation awards will be handed out so no one walks away empty handed.

“Trophies will be awarded for each category in each age group,” said Herndon. “An additional trophy will be awarded for the highest fundraiser for the American Cancer Society in each age group as well.”

There is a free admission for the whole family. All ages are welcome, and moms and dads are encouraged to participate too.

To register for the pageant, there is a registration form available on Facebook at Lecanto Relay Pageant, or contact coordinator Holli Herndon at 561-699-4752. There will also be a booth at the Strawberry Festival in Floral City where information will be available.
