Straight from Lecanto High School to your living room, Lecanto’s PantherVision program will be broadcasting on Bright House Networks Oct. 19.

The PantherVision  program is all about the day-to-day activities happening in and around LHS. Some videos they have produced are going to be featured on a one-night special airing on the School Zone TV show; channel 16 for Brighthouse viewers and channel 49 for Adelphia viewers Wednesday, October 19, starting at 8 p.m.

“It’s a great opportunity to get our name out there,” said senior Travis Lefke.

The show will be approximately 28 minutes long and will feature selected videos from TV production students. One of the videos being features is called Project Playground; it shows why the Crest school needs a new playground and includes ways you can help.

One way LHS has decided to lend a helping hand is by donating ten percent of ticket sales fromthe upcoming play “If I were your super hero” to Project Playground.

“Everything we do is going to help Crest,” said TV production teacher Amanda Mathieu.

Matheiu first came across the program through the internet. As she and her students were being interviewed by editor of the School Zone Chris Gangler, he decided to devote the entire show to the cause.

“I’m excited for my [TV production] kids,” said Mathieu.
